1/28/2024 0 Comments Gtasks pro not syncing macIt appears to me that Apple is showing less and less regard about upgrade difficulties. Since iTunes has been a thing I've been building up an iTunes library with hours and hours of effort building a system that makes it straightforward to use directly and sync a suitable subset to my iPhone. I have had some huge problems with the last few. I've spent at least two decades looking forward to and then relishing new MacOS versions, but not any more. You should just be able to turn off "backup to this computer" without having to choose iCloud backups. The fact that it's a toggle is a problem if you don't want either option. I just assumed you'd read between the lines. Stack Exchange has a much better forum model. I really don't like Apple's community forum setup. This isn't the first thread on this question and I only started this because I couldn't add to any of the others. I’m trying to assist, but your last response didn’t give me any information to work with. I got my first Mac, a second hand SE, back in 1989 and I'm not feeling the Apple thing these days, the way I used to. I've had some trouble with it, but now seem to have crossed that bridge. There's a lot of grief out there on there internet about how it's affected many people. I'm also not impressed with Apple's handling of the process of moving from an old music library file into the new Music format. If you click on the cross in the new finder interface, it doesn't stop, which is why I brought up the possibility of the process being broken. You used to be able to click on an icon to skip the backup process. At least it's a workaround until Apple comes up with something better. So, you're saying that if your iPhone doesn't back up on the computer in question, you can still sync it as usual? If so, your input is helpful, thanks. I just wanted to clarify that, because I have suggestions of turning backup off before, that involved doing the song updating manually, which is real backward step from the convenience we had previously. Certainly aren't going to help an individual customer find a circumvention to the problem. Was a question, that could have been answered with "No, I am using sync as normal". I assume that means they know that sync doesn't work, probably can't fix it, and aren't going to say anything about it. The worst thing is that I reported the problem twice but they have never responded. A month ago an update claimed to fix issues with sync but it hasn't synced consistently since. A while back it seems Google changed their interface and thus broke Gtasks. It's best feature used to be that it synched using Google Tasks thus I could use it on my iPhone, my iPad, my Mac, and even keep track from non-Apple devices via Google. As a stand-alone app it handles my scheduling, but ONLY on my iPhone. I still use Gtasks Pro daily, but not happily. I liked Gtasks so much when it worked :(. I'm trying to decide between Todiost and TickTick. Closed Gtasks, restarted it, checked sync status, and it had failed. Went thru and got it up to date, pausing after each task update so it could sync. Synced ok, but it was all out of date, likely since it hasn't synced for several months. I deleted all my installations, then reinstalled iPhone copy.
